Panama City Beach Retreat
Camp is going to be great. We are leaving @ 9:00 a.m. from Smithwood on June 10th. Please make sure that you turn in all your forms before we leave these can be found in the church office or online at www.smithwoodstudents.com. This trip is an amazing chance for your child to get out of the pressures of the world such as television, internet, cell phones, and everything else, and spend time fellowshipping with friends and worshiping God. We will have and informational meeting on May 15th directly after the morning worship service in the sanctuary. This will be to answer any questions and collect money and permission slips. This meeting will be very short so make sure you attend. Also in this packet you will find permission slips and medical releases. Both of these forms need to be on file for your child to board the bus. The medical form also needs to be notarized. The price for the trip is $250. This covers lodging, food (except fast food during travel), transportation, t-shirt, curriculum, and notebooks. We will have a small supply of scholarships for those who need help. You will need to fill out and turn in a scholarship application that can be found online or through the church office. The scholarships can cover any amount. What You Need To Bring
• Bible, Pen, Toiletries, Pillow, Sheets for twin bed/bunk beds or sleeping bag, Beach Towel, Bath towel and washcloth, Bathing suit (Everyone needs a one piece), Sunscreen, Clothes (for free time and worship), Money 4-5 fast food travel meals during travel, Spending money is not necessary but there is a café on property, Snack food for Travel
Dress code: tank tops must be modest; wide straps, no spaghetti straps, shorts fingertip length (this includes track shorts) modest one piece bathing suits, no shirts with questionable content.
What You Don’t Need To Bring
• Portable DVD players, IPODS or CD players, Two piece bathing suit, Shirts that show midriff, backless or low cut or with questionable material, Tobacco products, fire works, fire arms, fire starters, fire ants or alcohol.
